What is Sake Go-Around?
Japan's One of the Largest Bar Hopping Event
"Sake Go-Around" first took place in Osaka in 2008, celebrating Sake Day on October 1st, and willing to spread sake culture to more people.
This event is to hop around participating bars/restaurants, and enjoy their unique sake and signature dishes.
We started from a small event with seven liquor stores and seven breweries, and it has grown in scale every year. In 2018 it was being held in 11 cities across the country.
Unfortunately, the event was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, but thanks to enthusiastic requests from everyone and the great support of the breweries, we were back in 2021. In 2025, it will be held at 35 bars/restarurants in the Kobe area.
W ear a pin badge to join.
It is very simple to join the "Sake Go-Around", that you just buy a "Sakazukin badge"(¥800) at any participating bars/restaurants by the day before the event, which qualifies you for participation.
On the day of the event, wear your pin badge where easy to see and visit participating bars/restaurants during their business hours (vary by bars/restaurants). You'll get your first complimentary drink (60ml). You'll also receive one dish (appetizer, for an additional charge).
Afterward, enjoy additional drinks and food! Chat with other customers, brewers, and store staff! Or head to the next bar/restaurant!
